• Etizolam has been found highly effective at treating insomnia (sleeplessness) and anxiety.
• It acts as a central nervous system relaxant, providing calming and soothing effects and including sleep.
• When compared to Valium (diazepam), Etizolam is much more potent and effective.
• Etizolam also works as an anxiolytic, treating acute anxiety or anxiety attacks.

Etizolam generally works like other benzodiazepines, targeting the brain chemical called gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA). It increases GABA production and decreases nerve impulses. Benzodiazepines are the most prescribed antidepressants in the US. However, the exact mechanism of how Etizolam increases the secretion of GABA is unknown. Etizolam appears to be binding to specific receptors in the brain, inducing a more anxiolytic or anti-anxiety effect.

• Etizolam 1 mg could lead to side effects, such as sedation and drowsiness, which could affect one’s ability to drive.
• One of the most common side effects of Etizolam is musculoskeletal relaxation, which may impair your driving ability so avoid driving or operating machinery.
• If you miss a dose of Etizolam, take it as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is almost time for your next dose. Do not compensate for the missed dose by taking two doses at a time.
• Do not use Etizolam recreationally. It is a prescription drug and one should use it under the supervision of a doctor.
