Deslor (desloratadine) is a long-acting tricyclic antihistamine, meaning it shows significant interaction with the histamine H1-receptor in the body. • Deslor 5 mg should be taken by mouth, once a day with or without food. Please follow all directions on your prescription label carefully.
• You should take this allergy medication exactly as directed. Do not increase or decrease the dose of your own volition.

• Deslor tablets may cause excessive drowsiness if you take them with alcohol or any substances like marijuana.
• Desloratadine may cause mild dizziness so do not indulge in any risky activities that need your attention, such as driving or operating any machine.
• Older patients should use Deslor only after seeking medical advice especially those with kidney disease or liver dysfunction.
• If you miss a dose of Deslor, take it as soon as your recollect. However, skip it if the next dose is scheduled. Do not double the dose to compensate for the missed dose.
• Do not overdose with Deslor. Visit your nearest ED if you suspect an overdose. Desloratadine overdose symptoms include a seizure or trouble breathing.
