The active component, Tadalafil was approved for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in 2003. It belongs to a category of drugs called ‘PDE-5 inhibitors’. It is a schedule H drug. The molecular formula of Tadalafil is C22H19N3O4, while its molecular weight is 389.40g/mol. The other uses of Tadalafil include benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension.

The dilated blood vessels carry a sufficient amount of blood to the penile organ. This produces a strong and firm penile erection required for having satisfactory sexual intercourse. Tadalafil present in Tadalista 20 mg stops the degradation of cGMP by inhibiting the PDE-5 enzyme, thereby increasing cGMP levels.
